Prep your logo for the cleanest engrave
The difference between a crisp logo engrave and a muddy one usually comes down to the file. Here is a quick checklist before you send yours.
A laser engraves exactly what you give it, so the quality of your finished mark starts with the quality of your file. Most engraving problems are really file problems, and they are easy to avoid. Here is how to get your logo ready so it comes out sharp.
Send vector if you can
A vector file (SVG, AI, EPS, or a PDF built from one) scales to any size without losing its edges. It is the gold standard for engraving because the laser can follow clean lines whether the mark is an inch wide or a foot wide.
If it is a raster, send it big and sharp
If all you have is a PNG or JPG, send the highest resolution version you can find. A tiny logo pulled off a website will look pixelated and rough once it is engraved, because the laser reproduces exactly what is there.

Contrast beats color
Engraving is not color, it is light and dark. A logo that relies on subtle color differences can turn into mush, while bold shapes and clear contrast reproduce cleanly. Think in black and white and you will get a better result.
Watch the fine details
Very thin lines, tiny text, and delicate gradients can drop out at small sizes. Simpler marks almost always engrave cleaner than busy ones, so if your logo has a lot going on, a slightly simplified version often looks better engraved.
When in doubt, ask first
